26 Aug The God Who Sees Us in Prayer
Jesus taught and modeled prayer in many ways. Let’s take a closer look at one of his teachings, a teaching that helps us to develop a more intimate and powerful prayer life:
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)
Jesus encourages us to privately go into a room, close the door, and pray to God. We do not see God when we pray, but we can be confident that He sees us! It is so encouraging for us to know that God sees us as we seek to communicate with Him.
Brothers and sisters, no matter what we bring to God—whether we are celebrating his blessings, asking for his guidance, or pleading for his help—we can be confident that he sees us and he cares for us. He will profoundly answer and help us as we pray to Him!
